Located in an area rapidly evolving from an industrial zone to a mixed-use urban district, Bosch’s new headquarters exemplifies efficiency and creativity, and a strong commitment to sustainability and durability.
Celebrating raw, unrefined materials, the building embraces a modern Nordic atmosphere, where technology harmonizes with nature. The structure combines wooden columns and beams with concrete slabs and cores, reducing its carbon footprint while leveraging the inherent benefits of concrete for stability, soundproofing, and fire resistance.
The building’s façade consists of wooden façade elements, clad in a rhythmic composition of natural anodized aluminum, where vertical and horizontal fins create a dynamic interplay of light and shadow throughout the day. Designed with sustainability in mind, the façade can be easily dismantled and recycled at the end of the building’s life cycle.
At the building’s heart is a large atrium that visually connects all three floors, providing a welcoming entrance for visitors and promoting a collaborative, open atmosphere within the company. On the ground floor, a public café, showrooms, and training facilities are strategically placed around the atrium, while workshops and storage spaces are organized around a central inner courtyard, ensuring a seamless flow of activity throughout the building.
The first and second floors are dedicated to office workspaces, meeting rooms, and lounge areas, offering employees a productive and comfortable environment.
